Frequently asked questions
- Do typing games actually improve typing speed?
- Yes, when the game forces correct technique. Games that punish errors (Keyboard Jump, Key Tower) build accuracy, games with time pressure (Fire Typer, Galaxy Defender) build reaction speed, and prose games (Nitro Race, Ghost Words) build sustained speed. Mix two or three per session with a normal typing test.
- Do game results count toward my dashboard and XP?
- Signed-in players earn XP for every game lasting more than three seconds, and game sessions appear in your history. Game WPM is not mixed into your main typing speed average.
- Which game is best for kids?
- Balloon Pop. It has single letters, no lives, no penalties and a colour-coded keyboard showing which finger to use. Key Tower on the home row is the next step.
- Do the games work on a phone?
- They run on phones with the on-screen keyboard, but games that rely on a physical keyboard layout (Key Bricks, Balloon Pop finger hints) are best on a desktop or laptop.
