US typing tests range from state and county civil service clerk-typist exams to CritiCall dispatcher assessments, data entry keystrokes-per-hour tests and court reporter certifications. Most are five minutes long and score net words per minute.

Australian public service and state government admin roles rarely run formal typing exams, but court reporting, transcription, Triple Zero call-taking and legal or medical secretary roles test speed and accuracy on the day.
Pakistan

FPSC, PPSC, KPPSC, SPSC and BPSC test typing for stenotypist, stenographer, junior clerk, LDC and data entry operator posts. Requirements are usually 30 to 40 WPM in English, with Urdu typing on the Inpage or Urdu phonetic layout for some posts.

Bangladesh government recruitment circulars for computer operator, data entry operator, typist and shorthand posts set practical typing tests in both Bangla and English, usually 25 and 30 WPM over ten minutes on Bijoy or Avro.
Nigeria
4 exam pages
Nigerian typing standards come from WAEC and NABTEB typewriting papers (40 WPM error-free) and the civil service scheme of service for typists and confidential secretaries. Banks, BPOs and NIMC data entry roles test 35 to 45 WPM.
Philippines
5 exam pages
The biggest typing demand in the Philippines comes from BPO and call-centre hiring, where 35 to 50 WPM on a short online test is standard. Court stenographers, government encoders and home-based transcriptionists have their own targets.
